Meet the Art Teacher Mrs. Skinner!!

Hello Augusta!

I am Kelly Skinner the new K-12 Art teacher for the Augusta Schools.  I am so excited and blessed to be apart of such an amazing school system and community.  I am excited for this opportunity to work with your children to help them further their skills and knowledge in the arts.

I have decided that creating a blog would be a fun way for parents to pop in and check out what their student artists have been up too.  I am going to try my best to keep it as updated.

I plan to display junior high and high school projects during school concerts/activities as well.

Here is a little bit about myself.....

I was born and raised in Choteau.  I received my Art Education K-12 degree from MSU Bozeman. (Go Cats!!)  I married a Michael Skinner a local Choteau boy who also has many relatives in Augusta.  We both graduated from MSU Bozeman and then decided to make our way back home.  We have an almost one year old daughter named Hadley and a Maltese dog named Koby.  They keep our lives busy and full of joy.

I love working with all types of art mediums.  My favorite form of art is photography and ceramics.  You can find me in my spare time taking photos for my small business Kelly Skinner Photography.

I look forward to meeting you all!
